William Edward HARRIS (1860-1930): A Birmingham born painter, who painted mostly midlands and coastal landscapes. This Oil painting on canvas is entitled “Fishing by the River Severn” and depicts several young boys fishing along the willow tree lined banks of a rural section of the River Severn with country houses in the background. Signed and dated 1887. Framed in a good quality ornate gilt frame.
