A rare, early and very pretty French brass carriage clock in a rare ribbed gorge design with bevelled glass to all sides and a large bevelled glass panel to the top. The 8-day movement retains its original platform lever escapement, but no longer strikes or repeats. This, however remains a delightful and elegant carriage clock, complete with key and its original finely-made leather travelling case.
