Good George III Oval TEA CADDY
A very good late 18th century George III period oval TEA CADDY in exceptionally fine original condition. Veneered overall in ‘harewood’ (sycamore, sometimes stained) the lid is inlaid with oval marquetry decoration, whilst the front is similarly inlaid with a marquetry garland joined by flowerheads. Both the hinge and lock are original and some of the original lead lining remains.
