The "balloon" shaped back is button-upholstered and incorporates a superbly carved upper cresting rail, with carved arms leading to the upholstered and sprung seat. It is supported on carved solid walnut cabriole legs and the original porcelain castors. A bewitching and rare chair! c.1875
