327/12: A lovely quality and very pretty 18th century Chippendale period Pembroke Table in fine original condition. The solid "butterfly" shaped top is finely moulded to the edges and is beautifully figured, whilst to the frieze is a long full-length drawer. It is supported on tapering "stop-fluted" legs which terminate in block feet and original castors, whilst the top of each leg is finely carved with acanthus leaves. This is a very pretty and delightful piece of mahogany furniture from the "Golden Age" of Thomas Chippendale. c.1770
