Royal Worcester porcelain menu holder by James Hadley from his ‘Down-n-Out’ series

A Royal Worcester hand-painted porcelain figure (menu holder) modelled by the famous James Hadley.

From the Down ‘n’ Out series of Menu Holders. This figurine depicts a ‘tramp-like’ character with a faint moustache, wearing a black beret, blue smock top, dark brown shoes and brown trousers. Mounted on a base modelled to resemble cobblestones.

Impressed mark. In good condition. No chips, cracks or restoration scars. Colours remain bright and there is little sign of wear considering its age.
