Royal Worcester – Jersey Cow by Doris Lindner
A fine quality Royal Worcester porcelain study of a JERSEY COW, modelled by the well-known sculptor Doris Lindner and first produced in 1961. It is in perfect condition and comes complete with original stand and numbered certificate. Dated 1961/62.
Doris Lindner was born in Llandye, Radnor and studied sculpture in London and Rome. She started work at the Royal Worcester factory in 1931 and continued there until she retired in the 1970’s. Her later work included the half-size study of ‘Arkle’ displayed at Cheltenham Racecourse.
