Regency Period Sarcophagus shaped ‘double’ Tea Caddy

A good and very tidy Regency Period Tea Caddy in fine original condition. Of ‘Sarcophagus’ shape, this caddy is veneered in rosewood and inlaid with mother-of-pearl and brass stringing with ‘egg and dart’ and beaded decoration to the top and base. It opens to reveal two lidded compartments with much of the original lead lining intact.
