594/09: A delightful late 19th century or Edwardian period inlaid mahogany Display Cabinet of charming proportions. Below the top, which is crossbanded in satinwood, is a pretty frieze inlaid with satinwood swags etc with the shaped glazed (locking) door below. 598/09: GILLOWS of LANCASTER - another lovely piece by this fine firm of cabinetmakers: an elegant and under-stated mahogany Chiffonier of compact size and wonderful quality. The upper shelf has a solid gallery supported on bold mahogany "S" scrolls, whilst below are two doors, flanked by long 'panels', typical of Gillows which open to reveal a large useful cupboard within.
